Is it the wedding of the year?
Jenna Bush tying the knot with Henry Hager. The wedding is private and only 200 friends and family have been invited. She'll have 14 bridesmaid's and wear an Oscar de la Renta wedding gown.
We spent the day in Crawford yesterday where the whole town is getting ready. A gift shop there has everything from buttons to coffee mugs with the couple's picture on it. They'll also be serving cake and punch in their honor.
Jenna wanted a low-key wedding and has said if she had it at the White House it wouldn't be her style.
What do you think about passing up on a White House wedding?

Hi!
So Travis County is going after jurors who don't show up for jury duty.
You'll get warning letters and e-mails and if you still aren't there then the county says you can end up in jail.
They'll can even fine you up to $1,000.
What do you think? Would this prevent you from skipping your civic duty?

Hi,
Thanks for stopping by.
Tonight we talked to a Lockhart teen who was kicked off Facebook because she's homeschooled.
So what do you think about Facebook rejecting homeschoolers on their site?
A spokesperson tells us without a valid school e-mail address it's hard to verify the student. They do this to keep sexual predators off the site.
Is this a fair trade-off for safety?

Hi there,
It’s very late… but I
had to blog about this.
So my crew roamed around
outside the debate between Obama and Clinton on the UT campus.
Thousands of students and others lined up outside to rally for their
favorite candidate. The highlite for us... interviewing George Lopez
Live!

There's a story behind
it all... right before the debate one of my photographers spotted Lopez, but I
didn't see him. After the debate our fabulous web producer Becky Ozuna
found him and didn’t let him out of her sight.
She literally hounded him and wouldn't leave him alone and finally he was
gracious enough to talk to us. We were seconds from coming back to me
after our story aired and there was Lopez.

He was very nice and
talking to fans and took some pictures. He flew in from L.A. to be here for
the debate and is a huge Obama supporter.
Thanks again Becky! You are truly the TEAM LEADER!

Hi guys!
We met an American Idol hopeful today Bruce Dickson from Bastrop. He was on Idol last week and no he didn't make it to Hollywood.
He does have an interesting story. The 19-year-old told Idol judges he is saving himself for love and won't even kiss a girl until he's married. It's a tradition in his family. He's got 4 sisters and another brother and they all feel very passionate about keeping this promise.
Watch Interview and Performance with Bruce!

Hi there,
We talked to a man today who swears there was a UFO back in December over Lake Travis. Virgil Fowler took several pictures of the sunset and says he didn't notice anything in the sky that night. Last week when he finally downloaded the photos he tells us he noticed something that looked like a flying saucer. Virgil tells us he never altered the pictures.
What do you think? Have you seen a UFO around here before?
Look at his pictures and hear his story here.

Hi there!
So like many of you I've been dealing with Cedar Fever!
I've got all the symptoms... watery eyes, itchy throat and I'm sneezing constantly.
We found a group called People Against Cedars. They've got a lot of helpful tips on their website. One of their suggestions is even chopping down the male cedar trees.
Besides antihistamines or decongestants are there any home remedies that have worked for you?

Hi there!
Hope everyone had a good holiday.
We talked to two UT students today who are from Pakistan. They're devastated about the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination. In fact, they both still have family back home and are worried about them. With all the riots across Pakistan they fear the worst.
And as young UT students they were excited about the election there. They told us they looked forward to see where Pakistan was going to go with Bhutto on board.
They tell me she inspired them with her passion and just how brave she was. The first female Prime Minister of any Islamic Nation... well that's a huge title and honor.
I would have loved to have met her.

Hi everyone!
Hope you're having a good holiday.
So did you get anything interesting... anything unusual?
I think the most talked about gift I heard about was the Wii... the games are supposed to be awesome. I'm old school so I'm still trying to figure out how to fix my old Nintendo. It stopped working years ago. I just don't have the heart to throw it away. The problem is it won't turn on anymore.
If you have any idea's on how I can fix it please pass it along.
Again, happy holidays!

Do you know Jimmy Fennell Jr.? Have you ever worked with him?
He's the Georgetown Police Sgt. indicted on charges including aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping.
The woman accusing him of all of this tells investigators Georgetown Police were called to her apartment after she got into a fight with her boyfriend. Police arrested the boyfriend and Jimmy Fennell handcuffed her and took her in his patrol car. The woman says Fennell drove her to a park and asked her to get out and dance for him. She says Fennell then sexually assaulted her.
Fennell used to work for the Giddings Police Department. He was questioned and cleared by investigators after the murder of his fiancee Stacey Stites in 1996. Rodney Reed was convicted for her murder years later. He's now on death row and appealing his conviction. His defense has said for years that Fennell murdered her.

As promised here's an update on the Firebird.
Rebreu Body & Frame in North Austin has it and Rick Contreras with Texas National Guard has been helping get all the parts. The car will be overhauled with a new hood, bumper and lights. The front of it got pretty messed up after an accident. Rick got the parts for the Firebird through the Austin F Body club. Rebreu is helping fix it up.
Here's a little history on the story... the Firebird is a surprise for Lance Corporal John Mittelstedt. He's a Marine and was hurt in Iraq. He's back at home now in Round Rock. His mom wanted to do something for him... so she posted an ad on Craigslist. She offered to clean anyone's house if they would fix the car.
We hope to be there when John sees the car for the first time. I'll let you guys know when that will happen.

Hi!
So remember the mom who offered to clean houses for as long as it takes... in exchange she wanted someone to fix her son's red Firebird.
Well the car is being fixed thanks to you guys.
After the piece ran last week the Marine's mom got several calls. One was from Rebreu Body & Frame. The car is there right now and in the process of being fixed. We're hoping to catch up with everyone tomorrow and have an update on what the status is. Also, a member of the Austin F-body Club is trying to get parts for the car.
I talked to mom and she told me she wants to do something... so she's going to see if they need their offices cleaned.
Thanks again for helping her family!

Hi Everyone,
Here's a story if you want to do something this holiday.
We spent the day in Round Rock talking to mom who is trying to do something for her Marine son. We were told about her posting on Craigslist. Jackie Hoover is offering to clean houses for as long as it takes... in exchange she's looking for someone to fix her son's red Firebird.
Her son Lance Corporal John Mittelstedt got in an accident before he was deployed to Iraq. While overseas his humvee hit a roadside bomb and he ended up having some serious injuries. He's recovering at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.
John is supposed to come home on December 7th... his mom is trying to get his car fixed by then.
The firebird needs a new bumper, hood and may have to have some other things done to it.
Here's a link to her post on Craigslist.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
