i LIVE ON FM 969 AND DO NOT LOOK FORWARD TO THE ROC EVENT ON MOTORCYCLES EACH YEAR.tHE START WED AM COMING IN AND WE CAN BARLEY HEAR THE tv SET AS THEY RACE UP AND DOWN FM 969 ALL NIGHT. YOU WOULD HAVE TO LIVE HERE TO EXPERIENCE. I DONT CARE HOW MUCH MONEY IT BRINGS IN IT ALSO BRINGS A LOT OF DRUNK RIDERS WHO LAST YEAR HAD 3 TERRIBLE ACCIDENTS OUT HERE. ANOTHER THING WHILE I AM AT IT IS I LIVE OUT EAST BY WEBBERVILLE. WE ALREADY HAVE 2 MASSIVE WASTEWATER PLANTS ONE WITH 11 DIGESTERS ORIGINALLY TO BE ONLY 2-3 AND NOW THEY WANT TO PUT ANOTHER LANDFIL(LETS CALL IT RIGHT A DUMP FULL OF BABY DIAPERS) OUT HERE . WHY DO THEY ALWAYS GIVE THE EAST SIDE THE WORST ELEMENTS  OF THE CITYS MESS TO DEAL WITH .IT IS SO CROWDED WITH GRAVEL TRUCKS HOW IN HELL WILL IT (FM 969) HOLD ANOTHER BUNCH OF GARBAGE TRUCKS? WE NED TO BE UP IN ARMS AND GET INTO COURT TO SHOW THE INEQUALITY OF SERVICES IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF AUSTIN. DO YOU REALLY THINK PEOPLE OUT WEST SAY CAT MTN. WOOD WELCOME A LAND FILL OR EVEN OUT 183 WEST PAST 620 ?WHY NOT OUT THERE . I AND MANY OTHERS ARE SICK OF BEING THE DUMPING PIT FOR AUSTINS S&%T AND I MEAN THAT LITERALLY .THEY HAVE ACCESS TO TO THE LAKE IN MANY OTHER PLACES. I REMEMBER WHEN THE AREA OF ZILKER PARK WHERE THEY HOLD THE FREE MUSIC AND THE TRAIN RIDES WAY OUT TO WAS A DARN CITY GARBAGE DUMP!!!!!! HOW MANY OF YOU KNEW THAT? I DO BECAUSE I WORKED AT BARTON SPRINGS BATH HOUSE IN THE MID 60'S AND WATCHED THE TRASH BE HAULED IN MUCH OF IT HAS LEACHED INTO TOWN LAKE AS IT WENT RIGHT UP TO THE BANKS. YEA YOU NEW AUSTINITES DONT KNOW THE WHOLE STORY OF ANYTHING IN THIS TOWN .IT WAS 90,000 WHEN I MOVED HERE AND I WISH IT WAS THAT SIZE AGAIN AND ALL THE CARPET BAGGERS WOULD GO BACK WHERE THEY CAME FROM I AM RIGHT SO DONT BOTHER WITH A COMMENT JUST CHECK THE FACTS I JUST TOLD YOU CHRIS

While I understand your frustration with the motorcycles, being from Daytona Beach (Where motorcycle events are a part of living there) most of the people who ride aren't thugged out guys who look to bring trouble or fear to the town or people they are visiting. Considering the amount of bikes that come into town for this event, 3 accidents last year is not bad at all. You cant judge all bikers from a couple of people who decided to be reckless and ride drunk. I am sure that you have made some poor decisions in your life.
As far as the dumping goes, instead of sitting on your butt and writing blogs about how mad you are, you should be writing your congressman and letting him know your concerns. That is the only way you are going to get anything done.
Lastly, future is about change. With a beautiful city like Austin, people want to move their families to a place they are comfortable and safe. Those so called carpet beggers were, I am sure, your ancesstors at one point in the past. You didnt just appear in Austin, or whereever you are from. At some point you migrated. The city isnt yours and the amount of people living here and in surrounding areas is only going to increase. Thats life. So take a chill pill, and dont be so judgemental.

HOW DARE YOU TELL ME TO TAKE A CHILL PILL .DO YOU LIVE WITH IN 2 MILES OF 15 GIANT SEWAGE DIGESTORS AND 4 MILES FROMA GARBAGE DUMP? NOT TO MENTION THE TOPSOIL MINNING THAT GOES ON 14/7 ON fm973. i HAVE CONTACTED lLOYD DOGGED MANY TIMES NAD K HUTCHINSON ALSO I GET NO WHERE YOU NEED TO TAKE A CHILL PILL OR BETTER YET COME OUT AND STAY WITH ME FOR 2 OR 3 DAYS !!!! yOU WOULD SAY THE SAME THING.ITS WELL KNOW THAT EAST AUSTIN GETS ALL THE DUMPS S%*%T PLANTS ANS TRUCKS AND SAND DIGGING SOME HOLES 30FT DEEP NEVER COVERD BACK UP . oH BY THE WAY WHERE ARE YOU FROM ?? I BET YOU ARE A YANKEE! YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME TO TALK TO ME IN A DISRESPECTFUL WAYAND SARCASTIC .TAKE A CHILL PILL WENT OUT YEARS AGO WAKE UP GET IN THE REAL WORLD I BET YOU COULDNT LAST A DAY IN MY HOUSE WITH NO A/C CAUSE I AM DISABLED AND EXPECTED TO LIVE ON $634 A MONTH CAN YOU DO THAT ? I AM IN A WHEEL CHAILR LOST MY LEGS IN A HIT AND RUN DRUNK DRIVER IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE WHILE BACKING OUT THREW ME 35 FEET FROM CAR WITH A SEAT BELT ON AS I WENT UNDER THE BELT AND DOWN THE ROAD DUE TO THE DOOR BEING RIPPED OFF. My post was not to upset you, but to try and help. I am not a yankee..as I said, I was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. I am not suggesting that how you live and where you live is uncomfortable. I was living in FL when those three hurricanes hit Daytona Beach head on. Live in that! Not only didnt we have A/C, we had no water, no electricity, and no money. Our house was a total loss and we had no where to go. Before that, we lived in that house without A/C for 10 years!! I know what it is like to live in a place that is less than desirable. Try living in the middle of the ghetto, next to people who want nothing more than to gut you just because you are white. But, I didnt complain, I was happy to have a roof over my head after the hurricanes. I couldnt imagine living where you live. But $634 a month, was a whole hell of alot more than I made working, and I got by. Disrespect was not meant, but dont YOU dare assume that you are the only one that has had a hard life. I saw my 6 year old brother get hit by a drunk driver and he is unable to do anything for himself, so be happy you can at least type, and complain to me. The driver only saw 8 months due to a tree limb blocking a speed limit sign. As far as the plants you live by, I couldnt imagine...the only other thing i could suggest, is getting together with your neighbors and sign a petition regarding the plants, then, go to the news stations. Open other peoples eyes to it. Like I said, I cant imagine living where you do, but could you imagine living next to a cemetery and after flood waters reach

THANKS LIZ FOR EXPLAINING YOUSELF . I AM JUST GETTING BATTY WITH THE PRICE OF FOOD AND GAS AND IT SCARES ME THAT I MAY HAVE TRO START DECIDING BETWEEN SOME OF MY PRESCRIPTIONS AND GAS OR FOOD. I WOULD RATHER EAT. MY DOCTOR GIVES ME ALL TH SAMPLES HE HAS TO HELP BUT THAT RUNS OUT AND BOOM THE COST OF MEDS ARE CRAZY AS GAS. THANKS FOR YOU COMMENT. Have you ever contacted some of the pharmaceutical companies themselves? I contacted some of the ones that produce my brothers meds, explained the situation and they were more than happy to send some of his meds free. What they dont tell ya on TV is that the companies write off free meds come tax time as a donation.
I am fighting the gas and food frenzie too. Unfortunatly, there are too many nutless americans who wont stand up and say something about Bush owning stock in some of the oil industry. I'm not making any judgements, but as I have heard, If Colonial Sanders was president, and the price of chicken went up, I would ask some questions.
I have relitives in Tallahassee..not too far from Panama.
