"The first causalty when war comes is the truth."
The race goes on between Obama and Clinton. Obama, the least-flawed democratic candidate, is as always on the defensive from the Clinton attack machine. This attack machine, by the way, is direct from the Republican playbook, although these days it's hard to determine who really started the attacks, Republicans or Democrats.
Clinton, as everyone on planet Earth knows by now, has zero chance to win the nomination. She has zero chance of changing the minds of most of the American people who think her a hack. She has zero chance of continuing on her husband's very short coattails, as it is becoming more and more apparent his coattails weren't what we all thought. And yet she continues to fight. Delusional.
Obama, who could wrap this up in an instant by telling the truth about his opponent, refuses. It isn't that he likes the game so much, he doesn't want to alienate the few Clinton followers. He would rather continue on defense until Clinton implodes. How long did he take to distance himself completely from Wright? Why so long? He didn't want to offend. Delusional.
This war, as with all wars, will have a victor and a vanquished. The longer it continues, however, the victor seems more and more likely to be McCain. The two democrats need to face the truth, face the facts, and stop pretending the American people do not understand what is going on.
This match, this war, has gone on long enough. We the people are bored.

I have lived in Austin for 24 years and refuse to be a mindless follower of anything. Just let me have the facts and I will be objective.
