You could say this website questions why celebrities should be the only ones who get to wear the best jewelry, most expensive clothes, and coolest sunglasses. Here... you can literally rent expensive stuff by the week or month. Maybe you have a reunion coming up? Or maybe you're attending a wedding? Or a really hot date? You can rent the best of the best here to make sure you look your best.
So what do you think about this website? Does this stereotype Americans to the extreme? Would you rent a purse for $50/week?

http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/
SETI@home is an experiment to harness the spare power of hundreds of thousands of Internet-connected computers, via a screen saver, in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Scientists use a large radio telescope to gather data from outter space. This data is broken into chunks and distributed to your computer... and millions of other people's computers. Your computer then scans the data in hopes of finding some kind of alien signal from a distant planet or space craft. Of course, so far, this hasn't happened.
Why all the computers? Together... they can do more 'computing' than the fastest super computer in the world.
