There will be no more hurricanes named “Dean”. No more named “Felix”. No more named “Noel”. Those 3 names from the 2007 Atlantic Hurricane Season have been retired. All three of those storms pummeled coastlines and were responsible for great losses of life.
The decision to retire those names rests with the World Meteorological Organization.
The list of names rotates every 6 years.
The replacements?
Dorian, Fernand, and Nestor.
