what is justice?

where is the justice in Texas? how can a woman who had sex with a 17 year old young man receive a sentence of 23 years and a woman who helped mutelate a body of another young women only get 5 years...i ask where is the balance of justice in Texas...or when will the punishment fit the crime? it makes one embaressed to say "i'm a Texan!

doodlesofaustin,I hear you I could not believe that sick twisted girls sentence I know people who served longer sentences when caught with pot/marijuana I don't get it this girl needs to know you can't cut people up when you want. Unbelievable,there is no justice anymore.

I believe that one of the biggest differences is that one crime was tried in Williamson County and one was tried in Travis. It's no secret that jurors and Judges are tougher on crime in Williamson County..

Williamson county actually upholds the law as it is written with no exception. Travis county, once again, shows it upholds the law based on the 'it depends' principle of justice.

Criminals say it best when they relate how if they had lived in Williamson County when they committed the crime they would have already been on death row.

As it is they live in Travis County and are free to roam anyplace, they want while on parole as they say.

This is why Travis County is a magnet for rapist murderers illegal aliens and criminals in general while Williamson County on the other hand is a nice quiet place to live.
