It has just come to my attention that KTBC FOX 7 Sports reporter John Hygh is a Dallas Mavericks basketball fan.  Really?  How can anyone be a Mavericks fan?  I remember back in 2000 I was guilty of thinking hey this team might be good.  Then they got knocked out of the playoffs year after year after year.  I understand the concept of fair weather fan but after a while you gotta realize that sometimes the grass is greener in San Antonio.  GO SPURS!!!  I have several friends that are Maverick fans.  Every year around this time I have to be careful not to bring up b-ball for fear that I might hurt their precious feelings.  Here is an blog excerpt from a good friend of mine..."Early prediction for next season? They fire Avery, Bring in somebody
else, keep the same basic team, by the all star break when they are
25-30, fire sale, for cap space and draft picks. I think Dirk will be
the only one standing when its all said and done."  This of course was written before they fired Avery but I imagine that if that the rest of his prediction proves true the Mavs will be right where they are this year.  GET RID OF DIRK... He is getting old and the Mavs gotta do something big to be a contender.  Think Boston.  That is all.   Better luck next year.  Man I hope the Spurs win tonight.

My fantasy football team coasted into victory with Payton Manning at the Helm and Chicago's Defense picking up the slack. Now the two face off for Super Bowl XLI and I can't wait. My prediction.... I think that this video says it all.

I don't know how many of you out there have heard of the fantastic game of sloshball. It is a game much like kickball, okay so it is exactly like kickball, only second base is a keg of beer and if you plan on getting to third you must chug-a- lug. All of the players on defense must also at all times be holding a beer. Sounds fun right? It is. I think Fox 7 sports should come and check out the "SuperSloshyBowl" this Saturday. Well I made it to the Semi-Finals. I only have two more wins until victory. I am a little worried about a few issues my team has been having. Here is my team in a nutshell

Payton has been underperforming lately. I know I want to keep him in the lineup but what about Reggie Wayne. He is a superstar I know, but Drew Brees is so hot right now should I start Joe Horn in Reggie's place. I also don't know if I should keep Ladell Bettes as a starter. He has been playing well lately. Fred Taylor sat out the second half of last weeks game. That doesn't sit well with me. Warrick Dunn is hurt and Tatum is worthless. I could try to draft someone but I think I should stick with Bettes. He is the best bet. HAHAHA. Carney hasn't been kicking any Field Goals. Brees keeps putting the ball in the end zone. I think that I will be picking up a new kicker. Anyone got and recomendations?
